Erika, the owner and creator of Tabitha Designs is a stay-at-home mom of two from Des Moines, Iowa....yes, she is just like me! I was drawn to her Etsy shop while looking for items for my Clarebear and when I saw she was from Des Moines, I had to browse through her shop.

So, what makes her different from all the other "baby shops" on Etsy? Only the fact that 40% of all of her sales go to charitable organizations, specifically, The ALS Association, Ruth Harbor, and Samaritan's Purse! Not only can you purchase the perfect gift for yourself or a friend, but you can also give to someone you have never met. I LOVE this idea!

Erika named Tabitha Designs for Tabitha from Biblical times whose devotion to Jesus Christ moved her to care deeply for those around her in need.  Tabitha provided for the needs of others by sewing clothing for them, just as Tabitha Designs provides for the needy through the sales of their items. 

Tabitha Designs is an online boutique of cheerful handicrafts that are designed to nurture family relationships and friendships. She creates many beautiful hand-made items, but some of my favorite are her party supplies.

Tabitha Designs creates these adorable party hats! They are made out of cotton material. They can be worn multiple times and make the most memorable keepsake. My favorite part is that Erika uses a flat elastic for the chin strap so the strap won't dig into your child's skin. You can purchase these hats in her Etsy shop as well as at Ephemera in the East Village, Des Moines, IA.

Check out these sweet baby sets! Each one is unique and you really can feel the love Erika puts in to all her work. These Onesie Sets are available in Tabitha Designs' Etsy shop as well as the Ray B. Smith Gift Shop at the historic Hotel Patte in Perry, IA.

Tabitha Designs also carries a variety of party flag garlands, baby crinkle toys, and beautiful hand-made garlands from vintage books and cards. But, no matter what it is you can see that it is made with love and a careful hand. I was given the opportunity to study several of her items and can tell you not only would I be happy to have any one of them, but I would gift a Tabitha Designs product to all of my favorite people!
