That's right folks, this is us getting out of debt, and I couldn't be happier. Though, I wouldn't have been able to do it without couponing because our grocery budget went from $800 a month to $250 a month and that extra money went to paying off debt! It feels amazing to decide where my money is going, and in about a year we are going to have the rest of our debt which totals about $13,000 and includes student loans, medical debt, and one other personal debt paid off! Here is a giant exhale of relief!
Isn't it a GREAT feeling!!! I haven't had a credit card balance for 10+ years now. I do use my credit card every month but I pay it off and keep the rewards without having any fees or interest!!!

ReplyDeleteGo you! We're working on getting our of ours although we're not doing as well as I'd like to. And a car is about to go in the shop, most likely draining our savings. :( I'm so glad to hear other peoples sucess stories!! It gives me something to look forward to :)
ReplyDeleteNICE! We don't have credit cards either - our motto is that if we don't have the money to buy it - we don't need it. Well, okay, we do HAVE one - but it hasn't been touched. Strictly for emergencies.
